Amy Blake, M.D.

Dr. Amy Blake is a rural family medicine physician practicing in additional areas of hospitalist medicine, emergency medicine, and also works in a long term care facility as well as doing some home palliative care.

Dr. Blake attended Laurentian University and graduated Cum Laude in 2010 from an Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology where she specialized in rehabilitation therapy.

After her undergraduate degree she attended the Northern Ontario School of Medicine, which specializes in rural and remote medicine.

After graduating medical school she completed her family medicine residency at the University of Western Ontario and chose to focus on Emergency medicine and Hospitalist Medicine. She graduated in 2016.

Two years ago, she took over a rural family medicine practice where she had begun doing ER shifts since graduating. Almost simultaneously, her and her husband adopted twins- a boy and a girl. Her little boy has hypoplastic right heart and has endured many surgeries and trials, but God has showed His strength through little Jason's battles and despite hypoxic ischemic brain damage that occurred intraoperatively due to blood loss, he is thriving and showing the power of God's healing and grace.

Dr. Blake attends London Apostlic Gospel Lighthouse. Her and her husband have been involved in music ministry and youth ministries there.

Dr. Blake grew up in an Apostolic church and was raised by Christian parents. She taught Sunday School from her teens on,  has been involved in music ministry and has done an AYC trip and a trip to Africa where she met with missionaries in Kenya and worked at a small rural hospital. She has a burden and passion for missions and hopes to do medical missions in the future.
